‘Coach Mo’ loves the game and its people, especially his wife and 5 children. He hails from the New York Metro area but resides in southwest Ohio now. Michalski coached high school basketball for 11 years and college ball for another 17 years, all achieving unparalleled success at each stop. His Athletes in Action career began in 2004 and has seen him now coach, teach, and serve on 5 continents, dotting them with numerous pro and even Olympic-level ‘wins’, many camps and clinics, humanitarian aid projects, and, most importantly, sharing the best message in the world with people everywhere – so that everyone will know someone who truly follows Jesus. His daily wake up line is ‘For the good of the game, the growth of its people, to the glory of God!“
Currently Coach Mo life-coaches NBA players and our USA Senior National Team, disciples coaches and athletes worldwide, and writes faithfully, serving as a full time missionary with Athletes in Action, a division of CRU (a massive, passionate, evangelical missionary movement). What joy and honor this truly is!
As a veteran basketball coach, life coach, and Jesus follower, ‘Coach Mo’ is all about finding joy in the journey by making stops, scoring buckets, and getting wins in life with others. Each stop he has experienced significant success and changed lives. Those stops have spanned multiple US locations, 14 foreign countries on 5 continents.
Coach Mo has also served as a life coach for teams at a combined 6 Olympics and World Cups (most notably Team USA) daily wake-up cadence is “For the good of the game and growth of its people to the glory of God!“
